Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is all set to make his Bollywood debut with upcoming Telugu film Liger. The news was confirmed earlier today by Producer Karan Johar and actor Vijay Deverakonda.
Karan Johar, who is bankrolling the project, tweeted, “For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team!”

A source close to the project has revealed that Mike Tyson will appear in a cameo role during the climax of the film. Fans have welcomed this news with excitement and enthusiasm as the news has gone viral online.
Superstar Vijay Deverakonda too took to Twitter to share his excitement, “We promised you Madness! We are just getting started. For the first time on Indian Screens. Joining our mass spectacle – #LIGER The Baddest Man on the Planet The God of Boxing The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all Time! IRON MIKE TYSON”.
The film stars Arjun Reddy as an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter with a stutter. Currently, Liger’s team is filming high-octane action sequences in Goa under the supervision of stunt choreographer Kecha.
Liger also stars Ananya Paday, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande and Getup Srinu. The movie will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam and is speculated to do so in the first quarter of 2022.
