Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area depicts an unprecedented heist in the chaotic dystopian peninsula of North and South Korea as they approach peaceful yet abrupt unification. The crew and cast who will not only execute but also fuel the ultimate heist are introduced below.

Yoo Ji-tae

The Professor, played by Yoo Ji-tae from the international award-winning film Old Boy, is the mastermind behind the heist. From the start of the series, the Professor is responsible for organising details and recruiting the thieves from the North and South.

Park Hae-soo

Park Hae-soo appears in Berlin. Park Hae-soo, the global sensation Squid Game, will take on a new role as a cold but brutal member of the Money Heist: Korea is a member of the Joint Economic Area. Berlin, a North Korean who spent 25 years in a concentration camp, serves as the heist’s field commander.

Jun Jong-seo

Jun Jong-seo performs in Tokyo. She is a North Korean who came to South Korea in search of the ‘Korean Dream’ when the borders opened. Her life in the South, contrary to her expectations, is harsh and brutal.

Lee Won-jong

Moscow is played by Lee Won-jong, and Denver is played by Kim Ji-hun. Moscow’s only wish is to live a normal life with his son. Moscow, as a South Korean miner, will be in charge of digging the heist’s grand exit.

Jang Yoon-ju

Jang Yoon-ju plays Nairobi, a South Koren swindler who specialises in counterfeiting. Jang Yoon-ju will bring energy to the screen, as evidenced by her previous performances, including the film Veteran. Rio is played by Lee Hyun-woo, a former medical school dropout who is now the crew’s genius hacker.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, packed with colourful characters, will premiere worldwide on Netflix on June 24th.
