Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan did not get bail relief even today. As the hearing in the Mumbai drugs case will be continued tomorrow afternoon.

Now, Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh will reply on behalf of the NCB on Thursday.

The 23-year-old Aryan Khan has been in jail since October 8. He was arrested during the drug raids on a cruise ship party on October 2 by the anti-drugs agency. Aryan has been denied bail twice before in the Mumbai drugs case.

Earlier, Mukul Rohatgi had said, “Please look at the arrest memo of Aryan Khan. It is identical. What it refers to are items not recovered from me. There is a legal connotation for this. The law says you must give true and correct grounds for this. This takes us back to the CrPC section 50. Persons arrested have the right to be informed of arrest and grounds of bail.”

Senior counsel Desai, appearing for Arbaaz Merchant, stated that there were no grounds for conspiracy, as alleged by the NCB. “If there are three unconnected persons coming for the same purpose, that is not a conspiracy,” he told the single-judge Bench.

Hence, the arguments made in the case of Aryan Khan, that the WhatsApp chats were unrelated to the Mumbai cruise. When it comes to grounds for Aryan Khan’s bail, Amit Desai said, “Nothing would stop the investigation if bail is given. But what is the need for custody when punishment is one year.”
