Mumtaz and Rajesh Khanna were a sensational duo in their prime, starring in classics like Do Raaste and Aap Ki Kasam. Khanna was known to become irritated whenever Mumtaz signed films with other male actors, even though their collaborations were successful. Mumtaz said that "he would get upset when I signed films with other heroes like Dharmendra ji or Dev Anand sahab." However, I never pouted since he collaborated with other heroines. He believed he was my owner. Nevermind, it only showed that he was concerned about me.

In their glory days, Mumtaz and Rajesh Khanna were a fantastic team who starred in beloved films like Do Raaste and Aap Ki Kasam. Khanna was reported to get agitated every time Mumtaz made deals for movies starring other men, even if such partnerships proved to be fruitful. Mumtaz and Rajesh Khanna's on-screen chemistry was celebrated in a number of popular movies, such as Bandhan (1969), Sachaa Jhutha (1970), Do Raaste (1974), and Others.
