Namak Issk Ka: Shruti Sharma plays TV’s Sapna Chaudhary in Colors’ new show

Published Date:

Can an Indian household accept a ‘Nachaniya’ (dancer) as their bahu (daughter-in-law)? Colors TV, which launched its new show ‘Namak Issk Ka on December 7, will focus on a story of a dancer who is looked down upon due to her profession. While dance is considered as a divine art, why are families still reluctant to accept a ‘Nachaniya’ as their son’s wife? The new show, produced by Gul Khan and Dipti Kalwani, aims to question to this orthodox outlook.

Haryanavi dancer Sapna Chaudhary has won several hearts with her dance moves. Her videos go viral on social media in no time, all thanks to her crazy fan following. We have seen the dancing sensation set the stage on fire with her ‘thumkas’ and ‘jhatkas’; however, there is a certain section of audience, who has questioned the ‘Bigg Boss 11’ contestant for her actions.

Sapna Chaudhary’s wedding with Veer Sahu became the talk of the town as the couple got married in a hush-hush affair. She recently became a mother of a baby. Although, Sapna is yet to share a photo of her newborn son, fans have already flooded her Instagram posts with their messages. However, some fans judged her character and even asked when she tied the knot as Sapna didn’t announce her wedding. Her husband Veer slammed all those, who judged his wife’s character during an Instagram live.

Just because someone is a public figure and a dancer, who performs on different platforms, doesn’t mean anybody can point fingers on her. During her recent interaction on Colors TV’s Instagram post, Sapna called out such people and expressed her happiness after seeing a dancer play the lead character in a show on national television.

Shruti Sharma is playing the role of Chamcham, a Nachaniya, who faces flak for her profession even when people line up to see her perform. On one hand, men are ready to buy tickets to watch her act, on the other hand, they look down upon her and try to take advantage. Why so much bias? The newly launched show ‘Namak Issk Ka’ promises to keep the viewers hooked on to their TV sets with its entertaining episodes.

Bhojpuri actor Aditya Ojha has made his television debut with ‘Namak Issk Ka’. He has been paired opposite Shruti Sharma in the daily drama. The show also stars another Bhojpuri star Monalisa aka Antara Biswas. Any daily soap is incomplete without twists and turns. In a twist of fate, Chamcham will get married to Yug, who is from a respectable family. Will Chamcham’s in-laws accept her? This forms the crux of the story.

Will Shruti Sharma aka Chamcham turn out to be TV’s Sapna Chaudhary or she will fail to impress fans? Viewers will have to wait the episodes to find out.
