Aditya Roy Kapur, who commands a big fan following across the nation, was recently harassed by a female fan during the recent screening of his next show, ‘The Night Manager’.
A female admirer approached the actor for a selfie in a video that has gone viral on social media. She tried to kiss the actor on the cheek after the picture was shot. She tried to kiss him again while Aditya managed to pull away.
The actor was clearly embarrassed and was attempting to gradually separate himself from her, but she would not let go. She kissed his hand before he left the scene.
Aditya smiled through his discomfort as people on social media criticised the woman. While a supporter exclaimed, “Oh goodness! Harassment of this nature is unacceptable! What’s wrong with people, exactly? Another person said, “Hello Lady, Covid is not completely finished yet. Even though I admire him, I won’t try to kiss him forcibly; that’s harassment!” If a male had done the same, the post would have been different, a fan said.
With “The Night Manager,” Aditya will make his television debut. He will co-star on the show with Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala.
The Sandeep Modi-directed series will begin making appearances on the OTT platform on February 17.
