Former adult film star and Bollywood actress Sunny Leone‘s latest video song has sparked row.
Calling it an ‘obscene’ dance on an iconic song, priests in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura have accused the actress of hurting their religious sentiments and have demanded a ban on the song.
Saregama Music had released the music video on Wednesday and Kanika Kapoor and Arindam Chakraborty have sung the party number, which features Sunny Leone.
Mohammed Rafi had originally sung the song for the 1960 film Kohinoor.

“We will go to court if the government does not act against the actress and ban her video album,” Sant Naval Giri Maharaj of Vrindaban has said, according to news agency PTI.

He further said Sunny Leone should not be allowed to stay in India unless she withdraws the scene and tenders a public apology.
Mahesh Pathak, Akhil Bhartiya Tirth Purohit Mahasabha’s national president, said she has maligned the prestige of Brijbhumi by presenting the song in a “derogatory manner”, the news agency reported.

Several social media users had also trolled the actress and slammed the song for hurting Hindu sentiments.
