South Indian actress Oviya Helen recently found herself at the center of a troubling controversy after an alleged MMS video featuring her was leaked online. As of October 18, 2024, Oviya has filed a police complaint against an individual she claims is responsible for creating and circulating the video, sparking discussions on privacy and security in the digital age.

In her complaint, she named an old friend, Thariq, as the alleged perpetrator behind the morphed video. According to Oviya, Thariq held a grudge against her after she distanced herself from him due to inappropriate behavior. She alleges that Thariq not only created this video but also possesses other manipulated images of women he knows, making her case all the more alarming.

Oviya Helen, born Helen Nelson in Thrissur, Kerala, has made a significant mark in South Indian cinema. She debuted in 2007 with the Malayalam film Kangaroo, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. However, it was her role in the Tamil rural comedy Kalavani that brought her widespread fame. Since then, she has starred in successful films like Kanchana 3, Kirataka, and Yaamirukka Bayamey.
