Poonam Pandey to Milind Soman, stars caught for obscenity

Be it the glamours world of tinselville or the entertainment arena of Bollywood, there have been various celebs who have been involved in many controversies. While some days, these celebs steal the headlines with their fashion statement, there are times when they end up in controversies. Lately, many tinselville celebs have been in headlines for many controversial reasons.

Recently model, actor and fitness freak Milind Soman landed into controversies due to his birthday post on November 04. Actress Poonam Pandey attracted yet another controversy with her photoshoot at Goa. The actress was alleged to be spreading obscenity in public space and on social media.

In this edition, we are taking a look at some of the major incidents that were termed as purportedly obscenity.

Milind Soman naked beach run

On his 55th birthday on November 04, the model-actor, Milind Soman took to his Instagram to share a nude photo of him running on a beach of Goa. The photo set the entire social media on fire but also landed Milind Soman in huge controversy. The actor wrote, “Happy birthday to me.. 55 and running.” The picture was clicked by his wife Ankita Konwar. Goa Police has registered a case against Soman under IPC Sec 294 and IT Act Sec 67 for taking this picture.

Days before Milind Soman controversy, Poonam Pandey courted controversy for shooting an ‘objectionable’ video in Goa. The model-actress shared alleged ‘objectionable’ photos on her Instagram which was shot at a restricted dam site at South Goa. Poonam Pandey, along with her husband Sam Bombay was detained by officials from the Calangute police station. Poonam and Sam were booked under sections 292 (taking obscene photos), 293 (circulating the obscene photos on social media), 294 (for the obscene act), and 447(trespass), of the Indian Penal Code, sections 4 and 6 of The Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and section 67-A of the IT Act.

Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh’s obscene content at AIB Knockout

Along with various artists who performed at rather controversial AIB Knockout roast video, actor Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were also slammed with FIRs. The actors later moved to Bombay High Court to overturn the FIRs.
