Prerna Arora’s Film Jatadhara Faces Legal Trouble – Content Films Productions To Take Action\

Bollywood producer Prerna Arora is facing legal issues again. A production house has issued a legal notice over the rights of her upcoming film Jatadhara.
Prerna Arora’s Jatadhara in Legal Dispute
Prerna Arora, who was previously in the news for financial mismanagement, is once again making headlines for legal troubles. According to a notice published in Complete Cinema magazine (dated March 8 and 15, 2025), Content Films Productions Pvt Ltd, a part of Rajtaru Studios Limited, has decided to take legal action against Prerna Arora and her partner, Shivin Narang.
The dispute arises from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 23, 2024, between Content Films Productions Pvt Ltd and Ess Kay Gee Entertainment, the company owned by Prerna Arora and Shivin Narang. As per the agreement, Content Films Productions Pvt Ltd holds 50% rights, including Intellectual Property Rights, over Jatadhara. However, they claim that Ess Kay Gee Entertainment has violated the terms of the contract.
Legal Notice and Warning to the Film Industry
Due to this breach of contract, Content Films Productions Pvt Ltd is taking legal action against Ess Kay Gee Entertainment. The notice also warns actors, directors, distributors, OTT platforms, and agencies not to enter any contract related to Jatadhara without their consent. It further states that any unauthorized dealings with Ess Kay Gee Entertainment regarding this film will lead to legal consequences.
Jatadhara – A Fantasy Thriller Featuring Sonakshi Sinha
Despite the legal controversy, Jatadhara gained attention recently after its first-look poster was released. The film features Sonakshi Sinha in a never-before-seen avatar, alongside Sudheer Babu. Directed by Venkat Kalyan, Jatadhara is a supernatural fantasy thriller based on a South Indian folktale.
In January 2025, Zee Studios joined the project as a production partner. At that time, Prerna Arora described the film as “a unique supernatural horror inspired by folk tales, similar to Munjya, but with a South Indian cultural influence.”
Prerna Arora’s Other Upcoming Projects
Apart from Jatadhara, Prerna Arora is working on two more films:
Hero Heeroine – Starring Divya Khosla, Esha Deol, and Paresh Rawal
Dank – Featuring Shivin Narang, Nidhhi Agerwal, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, and Tusshar Kapoor
Conclusion
The legal trouble surrounding Jatadhara has raised concerns in the film industry. If the case moves forward, it could impact the film’s release and distribution. Meanwhile, Bollywood fans are eagerly waiting to see how this controversy unfolds.
