Priyanka Chopra opens up about her role in Citadel, check details

Published Date:

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden, Stanley Tucchi, and the eagerly anticipated film “Citadel” have all debuted the teaser today. Russo Brothers are the filmmakers of the sky thriller. An introduction to Citadel, an autonomous international spy agency, is provided in the recently released trailer. As the spy Nadia, Priyanka plays the role.

The cross-pollination of the series across territories was what PC found most exciting about “Citadel,” though. The success of subtitled work in English-speaking regions, she added, “was extremely gratifying to me as someone who worked for a very long period in a non-English medium.

This show’s ambition, which at first I found so alluring, is what I believe to be its sociological experiment. The main show is in English, but there are also shows in Italian and Hindi, and the characters and plotlines from these shows overlap and cross over. The blending of cultures and how entertainment now transcends national boundaries and linguistic barriers intrigues and excites me. It’s all about telling stories.”

The actress discusses playing Nadia, who has already garnered praise for the glimpses of her character in the posters and trailer. “She seems to have a lot of baggage, in my opinion. I think she has to traverse some really treacherous waters.

She must maintain her composure despite the fact that her character is evolving and that everything in her life is changing all around her. I believe that that makes her simply really juicy as a character for me to play because every choice that is made by her is weighed and overburdened by so much strain. It was absolutely fantastic because she thrived in it. I mean, Richard and I really enjoyed ourselves. Working with him is great.

The debut of “Citadel” is scheduled for April 28. Priyanka’s next appearance will be in the May 12 film “Love Again,” which she will co-star in with Sam Heughan.
