Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn’s Film Drops to ₹11.75 Crore – Red Alert for Makers?
Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 sees a major drop at the box office on Day 2, collecting ₹11.75 crore after a strong ₹19.25 crore opening. Can it recover over the weekend?

Ajay Devgn returned to theatres with his new film Raid 2, the sequel to his 2018 hit Raid. Fans were excited to see him again as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, a character known for standing up against corruption. While the film opened strong on its first day, Raid 2 box office collection on Day 2 shows a surprising dip.
Raid 2 struggles at the box office on Day 2
On May 1, 2025, Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 collected a strong ₹19.25 crore, creating buzz across cinema halls. However, the movie couldn’t maintain its momentum on the second day. As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned only ₹11.75 crore on Day 2. That’s a drop of nearly ₹8 crore, which has left fans and makers a bit worried.
So far, the total Raid 2 box office collection stands at around ₹31 crore in just two days. Even though this is a good number overall, the dip in earnings is being closely watched by trade analysts.
Interestingly, Raid 2 managed to beat the opening day collections of Ajay Devgn’s past successful films like Drishyam 2, Tanhaji, and Shaitaan. For example, Drishyam 2 had earned ₹15.38 crore, Tanhaji made ₹15.10 crore, and Shaitaan collected ₹15.21 crore on Day 1. Compared to these, Raid 2 day 1 earnings were the highest, showing that fans were excited about this sequel.
The sudden drop in the Day 2 box office collection of Raid 2 has raised concerns. But weekends are usually better for films, and Saturday and Sunday collections might help the film bounce back. The makers are hopeful that the audience will return to theatres in large numbers.
Directed as a continuation of the original Raid story, the sequel follows Amay Patnaik’s next mission against corruption. Fans are curious to see what challenges he faces this time.
Ajay Devgn’s box office comeback in 2025
Earlier this year, Ajay Devgn had released Azaad, introducing his nephew Aman Devgn and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani. But that film didn’t perform well at the box office. With Raid 2, Ajay was aiming for a big box office success in 2025. While the film started well, only time will tell if it becomes the first hit of the year for Ajay Devgn.
