Rajkummar Rao's ₹25 Lakh Improvisation in Stree 2 Leaves Fans and Filmmakers Stunned!

 Stree 2

Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, has been a big success at the box office. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the horror-comedy has won the hearts of audiences. However, a recent revelation by actor Abhishek Banerjee has caught everyone’s attention. In an interview with Fever FM, Abhishek shared a surprising detail about an expensive improvisation by his co-star, Rajkummar Rao, that cost the filmmakers a significant amount of money.

Abhishek Banerjee Praises Rajkummar Rao’s Improvisation

During the interview, Abhishek Banerjee talked about a scene in Stree 2 where he improvised a line about co-actor Pankaj Tripathi's film Main Atal Hoon. Abhishek initially forgot about his improvisation and later praised Rajkummar Rao, thinking it was his idea. He was pleasantly surprised to realize that the improvisation was actually his own.

The Costly Improvisation in Stree 2

Abhishek revealed that Rajkummar Rao’s improvisation in another scene turned out to be a costly one. In the movie, there’s a moment where Rajkummar’s character waits outside while his friend visits his girlfriend. Rajkummar, while listening to music on his headphones, gives a twist to the popular English song Calm Down by Rema and Selena Gomez. This improvisation required the filmmakers to buy the rights to the song, costing them ₹25 lakh. Abhishek humorously called it "India's costliest improvisation."

Stree 2 Continues to Impress Audiences

Stree 2 was released on August 15 and has been met with positive reviews. The film also features special cameos by Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan. The original Stree movie, released in 2018, was a hit, and the sequel is following in its footsteps.
