According to Sacnilk, the film has earned Rs 6.75 crore on the first day. When the film earned more than 6 crores on Friday, it is believed that the film will benefit from the holiday on Saturday and Sunday and the film will make even more huge collections.

Along with 'Bhool Chook Maaf', Hollywood actor Tom Cruise's film 'Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning' is also running in theatres these days, which is the 8th installment of the 'Mission Impossible' franchise. In terms of earnings, this film of Rajkumar Rao and Vamika has given a tough competition to Tom Cruise's film. On May 23, 'Mission Impossible 8' has earned Rs 4 crore. That is, Rs 2.75 crore less than 'Bhool Chook Maaf'.
'Bhool Chook Maaf' release controversy
'Bhool Chook Maaf' was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on May 10, but two days before the release, the makers announced that they will now release the film directly on the OTT platform Prime Video on May 16. However, after their decision, PVR-INOX approached the court and said that they suffered huge losses due to the cancellation of the release, as all the preparations for the release had been completed.
PVR Inox demanded Rs 60 crore in damages from Maddock Films, the production company of 'Bhool Chook Maaf'. PVR-Inox got relief from the court and the OTT release of 'Bhool Chook Maaf' was banned. After that it was decided to release this film in theaters on 23 May.
