New Delhi: Rana Daggubati announces his next project with his uncle Venkatesh on Wednesday. The actors will be seen for the upcoming web series Rana Naidu that will be released on Netflix. The duo has shared a screen earlier but this will be the first time when both stars will be sharing screen space for the first time in a web series titled Rana Naidu. The Web series is the official adaptation of the American drama series Ray Donovan.
Recently, Rana Daggubati’s film Haathi Mere Saathi premiered on TV on September 18. On September 22, Rana made the announcement of his new project. The web series will start streaming on Netflix soon. The web series is directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. The series is an action thriller that follows the story of Rana Naidu.
Rana Wrote, “Always wanted to share the screen with my uncle the VICTORY V @VenkyMama and my dream is finally coming true. As much as I love him off-screen, in “Rana Naidu” we are going to be at each other’s throats. #RanaNaidu, coming soon on Netflix (sic).”
Talking about it, Rana said, “It’s lots of firsts for me. Working with my uncle Venkatesh and the first with Netflix in long-form storytelling that’s completely different from what both of us have ever done in our careers.”
To which, Venkatesh said, “I cannot wait to work with Rana, we are going to have a blast on-set and this show is the perfect project for us to work on. I am a huge fan of Ray Donovan myself and the entire team is pulling in all stops to ensure we do justice to it.”
Meanwhile, Venkatesh has resumed shoot for F3 with Varun Tej, Tamannaah, and Mehreen Pirzada. He also has Jeethu Joseph’s Drushyam 2 in the line.
