Tollywood actor-producer Ramesh Babu passed away at the early age of 56 on Saturday. However, his younger brother, Mahesh Babu, was incapable of attending the last rites on Sunday. Mahesh previously returned from a holiday in Dubai with his family and tested positive for Covid-19 thereafter. The actor is currently following all the protocols and is under quarantine and in home isolation till he tests negative. A representative confirmed the same and wrote on social media, “Mahesh Babu is under quarantine due to Covid-19 and is unable to attend.” The brothers frequently shared screen as child actors and Ramesh had also produced some of Mahesh’s films like Arjun and Athidhi.

Other family members and well-wishers also attended the last rites that took place at Mahaprasthanam on Sunday afternoon. Ramesh underwent a cardiac arrest on his way to the hospital. He suffered from liver issues for years. family members like his parents Krishna, Indira Devi, Sudheer Babu and Naresh were also present at the Padmalaya studio to pay their last respects.
MAA President Vishnu Manchu also came to pay last respects. He took to social media to express his grief and pay condolences to the family, writing, “Condolences to Sri. Krishna Garu, Mahesh, Manju Akka and their family members on the sudden demise of Sri. Ramesh Babu. Praying for their strength and peace.” Other notables like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Nithiin, Varun Tej and more took to social media to pay reverence.
