Salman Khan has been summoned in a new case against him. The case pertains to an alleged assault on a TV journalist by him and his bodyguards in Mumbai.
As per ANI news agency, Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court has issued a process against Salman Khan and his bodyguard Mohammed Nawaz Iqbal Shaikh.
The matter relates to the duo getting physical with the person in 2019. Both have been summoned on April 5, 2022.
Salman Khan and his bodyguard have been charged against sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
Salman Khan court case for assaulting a journalist

The summon comes based on the victim’s (journalist) statement, a police report and other material on record.
Furthermore, there are prima facie evidences in the allegations made by the journalist Ashok Pandey.

It happened after he was caught filming Salman Khan on Mumbai’s street but without his Salman’s permission.
When the actor got upset, he allegedly told his security to thrash him. Moreover, he also accused the actor of harming him and his phone that had the recording.
The whole matter got delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now that court has taken cognizance of the matter, the actor has been sent summon.
