Salman Khan has announced that he will appear in the sequel to his critically acclaimed film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. On Sunday, Salman confirmed the sequel during a special ceremony for SS Rajamouli’s next film RRR.
Salman played the role of Bajrangi in the 2015 comedic drama who embarks on a quest to return a mute six-year-old Pakistani girl (Harshaali Malhotra) to her hometown in the neighbouring nation after being separated from her parents in India. The film was directed by Kabir Khan and written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, a well-known screenwriter.

At a special ceremony for Rajamouli’s film RRR, Salman made the major announcement. The celebrity added he has a close link with Rajamouli because his father wrote the much-loved hit, which was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.
“I have a strong relationship with Rajamouli and his father, as he wrote Bajrangi Bhaijaan and soon we will be working together again for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, ” Salman said.
When Karan asked if Salman was confirming that a sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan was underway, Salman replied, “Yes, but now the focus should be on RRR.”
Salman was accompanied by Rajamouli and the film’s stars, who included Jr NTR and Ram Charan, at the RRR event. Alia Bhatt, who plays a pivotal role in the historical drama, was also in attendance. RRR is a fictional storey of two early twentieth-century liberation fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). The film will be released on January 7th.
