Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a poster for her forthcoming film Shakuntalam on Instagram on Monday. She is dressed in a white costume with flowery jewellery in the promotional poster.
The actress is depicted in the poster sitting in the centre of the forest, surrounded by wild creatures. After she shared her first look from the film on social media, fans were ecstatic.

Samantha’s fans are thrilled after seeing how stunning she seems in the poster. Samantha, they believe, exemplifies the beauty of Shakuntala that they have heard about in mythological stories.
Directed by Gunasekhar, the film is produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the banner of Gunna Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions respectively. The film also features Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of the Puru Dynasty.
Shakuntala is the wife of king Dushyant and the mother of emperor Bharata, and is based on a classic Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa. When King Dushyant goes on a forest hunting excursion, he meets Shakuntala. They found love and got married according to Gandharva tradition.
After her breakup from Naga Chaitanya in October of last year, the ‘The Family Man’ actor has been in the news. She was recently featured in one of the songs from the film ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’
