Where Will Sharda Sinha’s Funeral Be Held?
Sharda Sinha’s son, Anshuman Sinha, spoke emotionally about his mother’s funeral arrangements. According to Anshuman, her body will be taken to Patna, where her final rites will be held. Her cremation will take place at the historic Gulbi Ghat, the same place where her late husband was laid to rest. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also confirmed that her funeral will receive full state honors, as a mark of respect from the Bihar government.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed his commitment to honoring Sinha's legacy, confirming that her final journey will be marked with state recognition, reflecting her contributions to Bihar's cultural heritage.

The Illness Behind Sharda Sinha’s Passing
Sharda Sinha was suffering from multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer she had been battling since 2018. Her health had deteriorated in recent weeks, leading to her admission to AIIMS Delhi, where she was placed on a ventilator in critical condition. Despite the efforts of her medical team, she passed away, leaving fans heartbroken.

Sharda Sinha: The "Nightingale of Bihar"
Just as Lata Mangeshkar is remembered as the "Nightingale of India," Sharda Sinha held the title of "Bihar Ki Kokila" (Nightingale of Bihar) for her extraordinary voice that touched millions. Known especially for her songs for the festival of Chhath Puja, her soulful singing captured the hearts of listeners. Her contribution to Indian music was recognized in 2018 when she was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award.
