Shatrughan Sinha Makes Critical Mistake Supporting Saif Ali Khan, Actor Gets Caught

After the ghastly beating of Bollywood hero Saif Ali Khan, actor Shatrughan Sinha was caught at the wrong end of the row due to a terrible blunder by him while expressing solidarity towards Khan. The whole saga has opened discussion and criticism against the actors' public figures across social media for airing their opinions to show solidarity with others.
The Assault and Its Aftermath of Support
Saif Ali Khan was violently attacked at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai on January 16. Mohammed Shariful Islam Shahzad alias Vijay Das, the assailant, was apprehended by the Mumbai Police. The attack left Saif badly injured but it also exposed the weaknesses of security measures to safeguard the lives of celebrities.
The next day, scores of celebrities and fans flooded their social media spaces to express solidarity with Saif Ali Khan. Joining the lot was the celebrated actor Shatrughan Sinha, long-time champion for welfare and safety in Bollywood.
Shatrughan Sinha's Misinformed Gesture
During a press conference held shortly after the incident, Shatrughan Sinha tweeted his condolences and support for Saif Ali Khan. In his tweet, Sinha stated:
"The attack on our beloved and dear Saif Ali Khan and his severe injuries are both tragic and unfortunate. Thankfully, by God's grace, he is recovering. My heartfelt respects to Kareena Kapoor Khan, granddaughter of legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor, and her family. I would like to appeal to everyone to stop blaming and continue supporting. The police are doing a commendable job."
With the message, Sinha shared a picture of Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan. But within no time, it was discovered that the picture was a fake AI-generated one, not an original hospital click. Netizens and critics immediately began reacting to this move by stating the image is photo-shopped.
Public Backlash and Apology
The fact that the image was an AI-generated one and used by a respected figure like Shatrughan Sinha led to the view that it was misleading and irresponsible. Social media users quickly identified the discrepancy and voiced their concerns by questioning the authenticity of the shared image. Some comments ranged from accusations of misinformation to calls for accountability, with Shiraz and Ravi Sutrasan pointing out the inauthenticity of the photograph.
