Divorces leave a void in people’s hearts but have you ever wondered about hole it leaves in one’s pocket? Well, you will be shocked to hear about some of the most expensive divorces of bollywood:

1. Karishma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur

Ranked amongst one of the most shocking and expensive divorces of B-town, the couple has allegedly admitted that there were some issues from the start. Karishma and Sunjay had two kids together but the couple had to file a divorce in 2014 and they were granted the divorce in 2016. If reports are to be believed, Karishma Kapoor received Sunjay Kapur’s Khar residence and got bonds for both kids. These bonds amounted for Rs. 14 crores.

2. Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan

One of the most awwmazing couples of Bollywood, Hrithik-Sussanne had to part their ways after 17 years of marriage. It was rumoured that Hrithik had an affair with his Kites movie co-star Barbara Mori. Well, Hrithik had to pay a huge price for this long-standing divorce as Sussanne asked for Rs. 400 crores as the alimony amount. But Hrithik ended up paying Rs. 380 crores.

3. Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan

Even though the couple had a grand and lavish wedding, it is rumoured that the royal Pataudi family could never come in terms with this sudden marriage. The reason for this dispute is believed to be the huge age gap between Amrita and Saif. However, they stayed married for 13 years, had 2 kids together before parting their ways. This is one of the most expensive divorces of Bollywood as Chhote Nawab ended up paying  a huge sum of money. In one of his interviews, Saif Ali Khan said “I’m supposed to give Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which I’ve already given her approximately Rs 2.5 crore. Also, I’m paying Rs 1 lakh per month until my son becomes 18. I’m not Shah Rukh Khan. I don’t have that kind of money. I’ve promised her I’ll pay up the rest of the money, and I will, even if I’ve to slog till I drop dead.”

4. Farhaan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani

This 16 years of marriage ended in the year 2016 on mutual understanding. Reports suggest Adhuna received Farhaan’s 10,000 sq ft mansion in Vipassana where she could live with her kids. Farhaan Akhtar also paid her one time alimony instead of monthly installments and he also reserves the rights to meet his kids whenever he feels like. Adhuna has the custody of the kids and Farhaan had to make investments for kids’ future education.
