Poonam Dhillon, a senior actress, shared a pair of photo from her debut film. She posted a throwback photo of herself with Amitabh Bachchan on her Instagram account. The photo was taken on the set of the 1978 Bollywood film ‘Trishul,’ in which she co-starred with Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan is seen hugging Poonam in a bridal outfit in the first shot. Standing next to them are Gita and Shashi Kapoor. Randhir posed alongside Shashi, Poonam, Amitabh, Gita, and Sanjeev in the second photo. Shashi clutched a clapper in which ‘Trishul’ and ‘first shot’ were written in the monochrome click.

Poonam captioned the photographs she shared, “My first film was released on May 5th, when I was about 16 years old… I never imagined it would be the start of a profession that I would love so much!! I’ve worked in films, television, theatre, and now OTT for 44 years. Thank you, God, for this incredible adventure, and thank you, everyone, for the love you’ve shown me throughout the years. Thanks also to my media contacts.”

Poonam Dhillon recently starred alongside Sonnalli Seygall and Sunny Singh in the film ‘Jai Mummy Di.’ Habib Faisal directed the film, which is based on Anuja Chauhan’s best-selling novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls. ‘Pathar Ke Insan,’ ‘Jai Shiv Shankar,’ ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya,’ and ‘Batwara,’ to name a few, are among her other flicks.
