Veer Pahariya Reacts to ‘Langdi’ Dance Trolls: “I’ve Become a Meme”

Veer Pahariya made a remarkable entry into Bollywood with his debut in the high-octane action thriller Sky Force. While the film received appreciation, Veer found himself in the limelight for an entirely different reason. A quirky dance move from the song Rang went viral, making waves on social media. The step amused some viewers, while others were quick to criticize. However, instead of being affected by the mixed responses, Veer embraced the unexpected attention, playfully acknowledging that becoming a meme has boosted his popularity.

Veer Pahariya: Thriving on Trolling

In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Veer revealed that he enjoys being trolled. He shared how he relishes the unexpected fame that came with his viral dance move. Expressing his enthusiasm, he admitted that becoming a meme is something he had admired in other actors and now he is part of the trend.

“I have become a meme; can you imagine? I’m immortalized with this dance,” he said. He even joked that just performing the ‘langdi’ step would make people recognize him—something unimaginable just weeks ago.

Rather than seeing the memes as a setback, Veer believes the viral video has only enhanced his career. The increased online engagement has opened new doors for him, leading to more opportunities. Since the Rang song went viral, he has even performed at two weddings, recreating the famous ‘langdi’ step with the bride. At one wedding, he jokingly told the groom, “This is my fifth round. If I do two more, the bride will be mine.”

Acknowledging the power of social media, Veer sees wedding performances as an exciting new avenue for actors. Welcoming further memes, he hopes that the increased attention will bring even more wedding invites and lucrative opportunities.

Sky Force Crosses Rs 100 Crore Mark

While Veer Pahariya’s meme fame continues to soar, Sky Force has also created a significant impact at the box office. Starring Akshay Kumar alongside Veer, the film has become the first release of 2025 to surpass the Rs 100 crore milestone. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film features intense aerial battle sequences and serves as a tribute to Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya MVC, the only Indian Air Force officer to be posthumously honored with the Maha Vir Chakra.

Produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films, the action-packed drama also showcases stellar performances by Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur, adding emotional depth to this inspiring tale of courage and sacrifice.
