Vijay Raaz Fired from Son of Sardaar 2: Did He Snub Ajay Devgn?
Actor Vijay Raaz has found himself in the middle of controversy after being removed from the upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2. While the actor claims that his dismissal was due to not greeting Ajay Devgn, the producer Kumar Mangat has a different story, citing rude behavior and unreasonable demands. The situation has caused quite a stir in the film industry.
Vijay Raaz's Side of the Story
Vijay Raaz insists that the reason for his removal was simple – he didn’t greet Ajay Devgn, who is both the lead actor and producer of the film. According to Raaz, he arrived early on set and saw Ajay standing about 25 meters away. He didn’t approach him because he appeared busy. Just 25 minutes later, the producer came and informed him that he was being removed from the movie. Raaz believes that not greeting Ajay was the sole reason for his firing.
Raaz also addressed rumors about demanding a bigger room. He explained that his request was only for space to practice yoga, something he finds necessary for his routine. He emphasized that after spending 26 years in the industry, he believed he had the right to make such a request.
Producer's Version of Events
On the other hand, producer Kumar Mangat has painted a much different picture. According to him, Vijay Raaz was difficult to work with, exhibiting rude behavior toward the crew and making unreasonable demands. Mangat alleged that Vijay insisted on staying in a premium suite and demanded that his spot boy be paid a hefty amount, much higher than even top actors would demand for their assistants. He claimed that Raaz’s behavior continued to worsen, leading to his removal from the project.
Allegations of Misconduct
Adding fuel to the fire, Mangat also claimed that one of Vijay Raaz’s team members was involved in a sexual harassment incident at the hotel where the crew was staying. Although Vijay Raaz has denied any connection to this incident, Mangat insists that such behavior was intolerable, and he was happy to disassociate from Raaz.
The Bigger Picture
Son of Sardaar 2 is the sequel to the 2012 hit film Son of Sardaar, starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha. The movie was a box office success, and expectations are high for its sequel. After Sanjay Dutt’s exit from the film, Ravi Kishan took over his role, while Mrunal Thakur is set to star opposite Ajay Devgn. Sanjay Mishra will now be replacing Vijay Raaz.
