Who Threatened Salim and Salman Khan? Handwriting Samples May Reveal the Truth

Mumbai Crime Branch is intensifying its investigation into a threatening letter received by Salim Khan, father of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, in 2022. The letter was found by Salim Khan during his morning walk, warning him and his son of an attack similar to that on singer Sidhu Moosewala. Now, a special MCOCA court has permitted the Crime Branch to collect handwriting samples from several suspects arrested in connection with a firing incident at Salman Khan's residence.

The Crime Branch had previously suspected that the threatening letter could have been written by one of the suspects involved in the firing at Salman Khan's home. On this basis, they filed a request with the special MCOCA court to collect handwriting samples from the accused. The court has now granted this request, allowing the Crime Branch to move forward with their analysis.

Authorities will collect handwriting samples from suspects Vicky Gupta, Sagar Pal, Mohammad Chaudhary, and Harpal Hardeep Singh, who were arrested for the firing incident. These samples will be matched with the handwriting in the threatening letter to determine if there is a link between the two cases.

The chilling incident began on June 5, 2022, when Salim Khan found a letter on a bench during his morning walk. The letter contained threats against him and his son Salman Khan, warning them of a fate similar to that of Sidhu Moosewala. The Bandra police filed a case, but despite extensive efforts, no major breakthrough has been achieved in the letter case.

Months later, on April 14 of this year, two individuals fired multiple rounds at Salman Khan’s residence early in the morning. The shooters, who arrived on motorcycles, escaped immediately after the firing. The police have since arrested several suspects in connection with this attack, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In response, security around Salman Khan was heightened to ensure his safety.
