Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has invited cricketer Virat Kohli and actor wife Anushka Sharma to have their baby in Australia. Brett Lee said that the people of Australia will be very welcoming of them. The Indian cricket team is currently touring in Australia and test match is underway.
Virat Kohli, who is in Adelaide, for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Test series, will be coming back to India to be with his wife Anushka Sharma during the birth of their first child. The couple will be welcoming their first child in January 2021.
Virat’s paternity leave has also been granted by the BCCI and the cricketer is looking forward to being a doting father. While the India captain is set to head home after the conclusion of the first Test in Adelaide, Brett Lee has offered him and his wife Anushka Sharma to have their baby in Australia instead.

In a recent chat with Mid-Day, Bret Lee shared “And if you like Mr Kohli.. you are welcome to have your child in Australia. Because we will accept you. If you have a little girl.. fantastic. If you have a boy, fantastic they might become a baggy green (laughing as he referred to the colours of the Australian cricket jersey).”
Earlier, this year, teh couple took to their social media accounts to announce the news of Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy. Virat Kohli shared the photo of himself with his wife Anushka Sharma and wrote “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021”
