Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, who tied the knot last year, recently shared their beautiful journey from their first meeting to their stunning wedding in Udaipur. In an conversation, the couple opened up about their special moments, including how they first met at an award ceremony in London.
How Parineeti and Raghav First Met
The couple recalled their first meeting at an award ceremony, where Parineeti was honored with the Outstanding Achiever Award in Entertainment, while Raghav received an award for Politics and Governance. Parineeti, who wasn’t familiar with Raghav at the time, shared how her brother Shivang encouraged her to meet him. “I went up to him and said, ‘Hello, I’m Parineeti, my brothers are big fans of you,’” she recalled. Raghav, with a warm smile, responded, “How sweet. We’ll catch up.” The couple quickly agreed to meet again, and Raghav playfully added, “Nek kaam me deri kaisi?” (Why delay a good thing?).
Parineeti fondly remembered how the initial meeting, which was supposed to be casual, turned into something more meaningful. Despite a table full of people, she felt an instant connection with Raghav as they chatted about life, meditation, and scuba diving. The real turning point came when Raghav returned with a plate of food, which he began eating without hesitation. “I thought to myself, ‘This is the right man for me,’” Parineeti shared with a smile.
However, the moment wasn’t without its doubts. Parineeti admitted that she didn’t know much about Raghav at the time, so when their meeting ended, she rushed to Google him. “I Googled a lot. I wanted to know, ‘Who is Raghav Chadha? Is he married? What is his age?’” she laughed. All the answers she found online confirmed her curiosity, and she decided, in her heart, that she would marry him.
How Raghav Reacted to Parineeti’s Google Search
Raghav, on the other hand, wasn’t as surprised by the connection. When asked if Raghav knew who Parineeti was, he said, “Yes, I knew about her. When she agreed to meet the next morning, I thought, why not take the chance.”
Their relationship grew stronger with each meeting, and as Parineeti returned to India for her work, they continued to meet secretly. “We met clandestinely at first. We would meet late in the night, and I would tell my colleagues, ‘I need to go meet somebody,’” Raghav shared.
