Zakir Khan, the popular stand-up comedian, is known for his unique style of comedy. However, his latest show, Aapka Apna Zakir, which aired on Sony TV on August 10, is coming to an end just weeks after its launch. Unlike Kapil Sharma, Zakir couldn’t create the same magic with his show. Let’s explore why Aapka Apna Zakir is being canceled.

Show Fails to Impress the Audience

Despite Zakir Khan's popularity, Aapka Apna Zakir failed to connect with the audience. The show struggled to gain viewership, and the ratings plummeted in its second week. This has led the makers to make the difficult decision to pull the plug on the show. Fans had high expectations, but unfortunately, the show didn’t live up to them.

Low TRP Forces Show's Closure

According to reports, the show’s low TRP ratings surprised the makers. The audience didn’t respond to Zakir’s show as positively as they have to Kapil Sharma's, leading to its early cancellation. The show’s poor performance was a significant factor in the decision to end it, with only six episodes having been shot.

Creative Differences and Zakir's Thoughts

Before the show’s cancellation, Zakir Khan had spoken openly about his reservations in a Mid-Day interview. He mentioned that the show's title, Aapka Apna Zakir, wasn’t his idea. He wasn’t fully on board with the name but agreed to it to avoid conflicts with the team. He also praised the channel for being supportive and accommodating during the show’s production.

Star-Studded Guests Couldn't Save the Show

Despite featuring prominent celebrities like Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and others, the show couldn’t sustain viewer interest. The decision to cancel the show seems final, with no plans to release additional episodes. The channel and OML production house have been informed, and fans are left disappointed.
