Investigation and Arrest
During the investigation, DCP City Suraj Rai discovered that the threatening email was not sent by Ahmed but by Gopesh himself. The police swiftly arrested him for his actions.
Background of the Incident
Gopesh sent the email to the UP police on July 30 under the name of K Ahmed, who is his neighbor. To execute his plan, Gopesh first stole Ahmed's phone and then used it to send the email. The accused revealed that he did this because Ahmed had been harassing his sister on Instagram. Gopesh's plan was to get Ahmed arrested by framing him for the bomb threat.
The arrest of Gopesh has highlighted the lengths to which he went to settle personal scores, causing significant alarm and mobilizing law enforcement agencies.
