36-Year-Old Man Brutally Murdered with Stones in Delhi’s Okhla, Police Launch Investigation

A 36-year-old man was stoned to death on the road in Okhla industrial area, Delhi. The victim, identified as Surendra, was found near the railway line of Tehkhand with multiple injuries on his face, ruling out the possibility of his identification except for the dressing of clothes given by the family members. The police have launched a full-scale investigation to arrest the culprits.

Surendra, who resided in the Tehkhand village, is survived by his wife and two kids. His brother said that Surendra had stepped out for a walk after dinner on Saturday night at around 10. Hours later, his body was found in a pool of blood, with signs of a violent attack. The family has appealed for swift justice, stating that Surendra had no known enemies.

This brutal crime comes as the capital city continues its spate of violent crimes: a police constable was hacked to death at Govindpuri on the same day. Heavy directives from Home Minister Amit Shah have recently been issued, warning about rising crime rates in Delhi, and incidents like these continue to expose gaps in law enforcement.

DCP Ravi Kumar Singh confirmed the reporting of the incident through a PCR call on Sunday morning. Police reached the site, and the victim's body was recovered from a pond near Mitti Park with clear evidence of brutal stoning or brick-batting. A case has been registered under relevant sections, and forensic teams have been involved to analyze the crime scene.

The authorities are increasing efforts in tracing the culprits and have dedicated teams actively reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence. Meanwhile, the public as well as the victim's family await answers and justice.
