3rd phase of Covid-19 Vaccination for 18 above begins in Delhi

The COVID-19 vaccination drive for the age group of 18-45 began Monday. In Delhi, around 90 lakh people are eligible for the jabs under this category.

Moreover, five vaccination booths each are in place at 77 schools for the same. In order to accommodate a large number of beneficiaries, the government has set up the vaccination centres at schools.

Until Sunday, vaccines were being given to the ones above 45 years of age at around 500 centres in Delhi.

Process for vaccination registration

For vaccination against coronavirus, pre-registration is mandatory for all. Also, there will be no walk-ins under this category for now.

The Delhi government has already placed orders for 1.34 crore vaccine doses. These will be delivered over the next three months.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asserts that the government plans vaccination for all adults against the coronavirus within the next three months.

Delhi is currently under a lockdown to arrest the COVID-19. All private offices are in ‘Work From Home’ mode. Only government offices and essential services are open.

India is reeling under a fatal second coronavirus wave. Though many world countries are also coming ahead to help India fight against COVID-19.

People are scrambling to get oxygen beds in hospitals. Furthermore, crematoriums are seeing mass burials and graves are also going full.

Amid the massive COVID crisis, several countries across the world stand in solidarity with India as aid pours in from Pakistan to the UK.
