7 Key Highlights You Shouldn't Miss From Budget 2024

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the first Union Budget of Modi 3.0 on Tuesday. Here are the 7 key highlights of the budget 2024.
- For First-Time Employees: Those earning less than 1 lakh rupees and registering with EPFO for the first time will receive financial assistance of 15,000 rupees in three installments.
- Education Loans: Students not benefiting from government schemes will be eligible for loans to gain admission to institutions across the country. The government will cover up to 3% of the loan amount. E-vouchers will be introduced, benefiting 100,000 students annually.
- Special Schemes for States: Andhra Pradesh will receive 15,000 crore rupees, and Bihar will get 41,000 crore rupees in aid. Special infrastructure development schemes will be launched for Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh.
- For Farmers: Information about 6 crore farmers will be included in the land registry. New Kisan Credit Cards will be issued in five states.
- For Youth: The loan amount under the Mudra scheme will be increased from 10 lakh rupees to 20 lakh rupees. Internships will be promised to 5 crore youths in the top 500 companies.
- For Women and Girls: A provision of 3 lakh crore rupees has been made for schemes benefiting women and girls.
- Free Electricity Scheme: The SuryaGhar Free Electricity Scheme will provide 1 crore households with 300 units of electricity free of cost every month.
