Nine people were killed when a car hit head-on with a truck on the Mumbai-Goa highway this morning. Three of the victims were women and three children.
Police say the accident took place this morning at around 5 a.m. on a roadway near Mangaon.

The car was heading to Guhagar in the Ratnagiri area, while the truck was headed to Mumbai. The severely damaged car wreckage serves as evidence of how severe the accident was.
There are three females and five male victims. According to authorities, a child was injured in the accident and sent to the hospital.
The event is being examined, they stated, and traffic on the roadway has resumed moving.
