The Aarogya Setu app may soon launch a feature that will provide quick access to the COVID-19 vaccination status of a person, according to an ET report.
The government is working on a new feature in Aarogya Setu app. With this, a blue tick mark will appear next to their names as soon as people take one vaccine jab. After they take both the doses of the vaccine, two blue ticks will appear, the report said.
The new feature may arrive within the next week or two, government officials familiar with the development told ET.

“It will help people while taking flights or during other travel; they can quickly show their vaccination status instead of having to pull out the vaccination certificate each time,” one official was quoted as saying by the website.
It will also help employees return to the offices once things turn normal, the official added.

Meanwhile, the government is also working to further improve the functionality of its CoWin vaccination platform which will help more people to easily book their slots.
The first batch of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine arrived in India earlier this week. According to the official, the vaccine will likely be available “in a week.”
The CoWin platform, open to registrations for 18 years and above since last week, received more than 51.1 million registrations as of Tuesday.
The government opened vaccination for all adults from May 1 amid the deadly second wave of COVID-19 in the country.
