Aero India – 809 companies, 98 countries, and Air shows take off in Bengaluru

Published Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched Air India 2023, Asia’s largest aero exhibition, in Bengaluru. The 14th edition of the event will showcase indigenous equipment and technology in order to foster collaboration with foreign enterprises.

Visitors will be captivated by the five-day aero show’s breath-taking air displays, aerobatics, and presentations.

An F-16 Fighting Falcon pair, one of the top fighter jets in the United States Air Force (USAF), will perform daily aerial displays. The most sophisticated frontline carrier-based, multirole strike fighters currently in use by the US Navy, the F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet, will be on static exhibit.

The event is anticipated to draw nearly 809 firms from 98 different nations.

The event will mostly focus on the military, but it will also highlight India’s attempts to accommodate a rise in internal travel and repair its reputation overseas. The Runway to a Billion Opportunities is Aero India 2023’s theme.

As part of its “Make in India” initiative, the Narendra Modi administration has insisted that companies like Lockheed Martin Corp., Boeing, and Airbus share technology or produce more than just parts in India.

Various Indian and foreign defence businesses are likely to sign 251 agreements totaling an estimated 75,000 crore in investments.
