Air India Pilot's Family Claims Boyfriend Extorted Money, Humiliated Her Before Death - Read Now
The tragic death of 25-year-old Air India pilot Srishti Tuli in her Mumbai apartment has sent shockwaves through her family and friends. Found hanging in her Marol-area residence on Monday, Srishti’s family believes her death was not a suicide but a planned murder. They have accused her boyfriend, 27-year-old Aditya Pandit, of extorting money, mentally harassing, and publicly humiliating her, leading to her untimely death.
Allegations of Public Humiliation and Money Extortion
Srishti, who hailed from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, was found dead after an argument with her boyfriend over the phone. The police have confirmed that the incident involved a hanging, but no suicide note was found at the scene. The family, however, is convinced that her death was not a suicide. “Srishti was strong and would never have taken such a drastic step,” said her uncle, Vivek Tuli. The family claims that Aditya had been extorting money from Srishti, with a bank transfer of ₹65,000 to his family members around Diwali. They suspect he had been blackmailing her, pressuring her for money.
Aditya’s Jealousy and Mental Abuse
The couple had reportedly met during their commercial flying training in Delhi. While Srishti completed her training and went on to become a pilot, Aditya dropped out of the course. The family believes that Aditya’s jealousy over Srishti’s success played a significant role in the harassment. “He would humiliate her in public and even force her out of the car in the middle of the road,” said Mr. Tuli, Srishti’s uncle. Srishti had kept her struggles with Aditya private, revealing only bits and pieces of the mental harassment to close friends and family.
Family's Suspicion: A Suspicious Death Scene
The family has raised further doubts about the circumstances surrounding her death. According to their account, after the argument with Aditya, Srishti allegedly used a data cable to hang herself. However, her uncle believes the situation is far from simple. “Why would a keymaker be called to open her door? Why didn’t the people involved immediately contact the police? This seems like a planned murder,” said Mr. Tuli. They allege that a woman pilot, who was also allegedly involved, called the keymaker to open the door, and together they took Srishti to the hospital.
Police Action and Arrest of Boyfriend
Following the complaint filed by the family, the police arrested Aditya Pandit on charges of abetment to suicide. Investigators are looking into the couple's financial transactions, including the alleged extortion of money, which may have played a role in Srishti’s tragic death. According to the police, Aditya was in a live-in relationship with Srishti, often traveling between Mumbai and his home in Faridabad.
The Tuli family, devastated by the loss, has vowed to seek justice and has called for the intervention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They strongly believe that the events leading to Srishti's death were orchestrated and have expressed their suspicions about the involvement of others.
