Akhilesh Yadav Ghaziabad Rally SP MLA Atul Pradhan Clash with Police Over Seating Protocol

As Ghaziabad prepares for by-elections in the Sadar constituency, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav arrived in the city on Tuesday to address a public rally. During the rally, Yadav proclaimed, “We will raise the flag of 'PDA' across the nation and form our own government.”

However, the event saw a brief confrontation between SP MLA Atul Pradhan and police officers. Pradhan, the MLA from Sardhana in Meerut, attempted to sit on the stage but was stopped by the police due to protocol restrictions. Citing security protocol, officers informed Pradhan that his name was not on the approved list for stage seating, leading to a disagreement between Pradhan, his supporters, and the police.

During the altercation, Pradhan remarked, "Alright, we’ll leave," while his supporters expressed frustration, insisting, "We are Samajwadi people; this is unfair." The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) reiterated that Pradhan’s name was not on the protocol list, maintaining the stance on security procedures.

The incident added a moment of tension to Akhilesh Yadav’s rally, highlighting security protocol issues amidst the campaign preparations for the upcoming by-election.
