Remaining Days and Current Status
The Amarnath Yatra commenced on June 29 and the first batch of pilgrims left Jammu for Pahalgam and Baltal on June 28. This year's pilgrimage is scheduled to last 52 days and will conclude on August 19, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan. There are still 24 days remaining in the current yatra.
The weather is currently favorable, and a significant number of pilgrims continue to register for the yatra in Jammu, Pahalgam, and Baltal. Although there may be a decrease in the number of pilgrims in the coming days, this year's yatra is expected to reach new heights in terms of participation. Both routes of the yatra have 125 langars set up to provide essential services to the pilgrims.
Administrative Arrangements
The Amarnath Shrine Board, along with the relevant departments and district administration, is actively engaged in managing the yatra. Officials are regularly inspecting the arrangements. It is anticipated that the number of pilgrims for this month will exceed 4.5 lakh.
