Ambedkar Jayanti 2025: President, PM, and Opposition Unite in Tribute

New Delhi, April 14 — Political leaders across party lines came together at the Parliament House Complex on Monday morning to pay floral tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, on his 134th birth anniversary.
From President Droupadi Murmu to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and leaders of the Congress, AAP, and BJP, tributes poured in for the social reformer, jurist, economist, and political icon whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
President, PM, and Leaders Across Parties Pay Homage
President Droupadi Murmu, in a heartfelt message on X, described Babasaheb Ambedkar as a symbol of resilience and inspiration:“In his inspiring life, Babasaheb created a distinct identity despite extreme difficulties and earned respect around the world.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Ambedkar’s principles are instrumental in building a self-reliant and developed India.“His ideas will continue to strengthen social justice and empower the nation,” he said.

Congress, BJP, AAP Unite in Tribute
Senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge were present at the Parliament Complex to lay floral tributes.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal also paid their respects in the national capital.
In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed Dr Ambedkar as a true “Bharat Ratna” and a “living school of democracy.”“His life was devoted to creating an egalitarian and justice-loving society,” Adityanath said.
