Why Did AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi Visit Giriraj Singh's Office? Find Out Who Accompanied Him

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi met Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh in his Delhi office on December 10, 2024, with a 10-member delegation. Mufti Ismail Qasmi, MLA from Malegaon, Maharashtra, and Imtiaz Jaleel, AIMIM's Maharashtra State President, were with him.

Owaisi has shared on social media that the meeting mainly discussed the issues the power loom industry in Malegaon is facing. The power loom industry of Malegaon has over 5 lakh units. The delegation requested the Union Minister to visit Malegaon and make efforts to solve the problems faced by the industry. Giriraj Singh told the delegation that he will look into their concerns and work towards solving the problems.

This comes after AIMIM's win in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly election, with Mufti Ismail Qasmi garnering 109,653 votes to emerge victorious from the Malegaon Central seat. The party's contestant Asif Sheikh Rashid from the Indian Secular Assembly and Shaan-e-Hind Nihal Ahmed from the Samajwadi Party couldn't gain over him. The visit represents AIMIM's pursuit to campaign for Malegaon's economic and industrial development.
