At least 24 patients died Monday at a government hospital in Chamarajanagar of Karnataka. After the oxygen supply dropped, patients could not survive for long. officials said.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa also spoke to the district collector about the incident. The CM has called an emergency Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Moreover, a probe has been ordered into the matter.

Several hospitals across India have been experiencing a crippling oxygen crisis. The Centre has also been taking adequate steps to save lives of the people.

World countries have also come ahead to help India. India received the first Covid-19 emergency aid supplies from the United States.

The help comes as India fights a deadly second wave. The caseload has already strained the healthcare system. France, UK, Germany and others will also be sending essential supplies and aid to India in its fight against COVID-19.
