Ayodhya Deepotsav 2024: 2.8 Million Diyas to Light Up Ram Ki Paidi
Deepotsav celebrations have begun in Ayodhya, the holy city of Lord Ram, with millions of diyas being lit to brighten Ram Ki Paidi along the banks of the Saryu River. Ayodhya is getting ready to host the 8th Deepotsav, where it is being recorded that 2.8 million diyas would be lit in the city at night. The two Deputy Chief Ministers, Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, were photographed lighting diyas with the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, after visiting the Ram Temple for darshan of Ram Lalla.
Ayodhya’s Deepotsav 2024: 2.8 Million Diyas & Grand Celebration
Spirituality, culture, and tradition are interwoven through these celebrations. Since morning, this rich element kept animating Ayodhya, as could be witnessed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Governor Anandiben Patel, and several other ministers from Uttar Pradesh. Representations of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, and Lord Lakshman have landed at the Saryu bank via helicopter in the grand ceremony where the Chief Minister welcomed them.
Ram Ki Paidi, adorned with dazzling lights like a bride, waits for a magical evening. More than 1,100 saints and religious heads have gathered there to get ready for the Maha Aarti on the Saryu River. Furthermore, a team from Guinness World Records will also visit Deepotsav to capture this unbelievable moment. A marvelous aerial drone show would also illuminate Ayodhya's sky with the illumination of 500 drones. Laser lights decorate Ram Ki Paidi and append it to the sparkling view of Saryu.

It attracted huge crowds to the grounds, but most importantly it highlighted Ayodhya's cultural and religious importance that has made Deepotsav an event much cherished both by devotees and by visitors. It is expected that this year's Deepotsav will turn out to be a memorable one for everybody who is a witness of it, giving Ayodhya's heritage a much-needed global glow.
