Bareilly STF arrests Wanted criminal Faheem with a bounty of ₹2.5 lakh on his head; accused in 66 cases, hide in Delhi with girlfriend

Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly Special Task Force (STF) has arrested Faheem, also known as "ATM," a dreaded criminal with a reward of ₹2.5 lakh on his head. The criminal was wanted by the police in several states and had been dodging the law for a long time. Teams from Meerut, Noida, Bareilly, and Agra were trailing him. He was hiding in Delhi with his girlfriend, the interrogation revealed.

Escaped Since Prison Parole

Other SP Abdul Qadir said that Faheem is included in the cases of loot, extortion, dacoity, and attempt to murder. He is involved in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. He was released earlier on parole from Sitapur Jail, but he fled after that. On Friday night, the STF arrested him near Sambhal Chowk in Moradabad. At the time of his arrest, there were a firearm and ₹ 10,000 in cash on Faheem.

Involvement in Multistate High-Profil Crimes

Faheem is suspected to have his involvement in several dacoity cases that occurred at high profile levels in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. He is known to have formed gangs and led high-profile heists in different places. Faheem's activities have been far from Uttar Pradesh, but have been affecting the operational strategies of law enforcement officers in several states. Faheem's arrest will, therefore, be seen as a great achievement by the STF since he had a network of major criminals in different regions.

The STF is still investigating Faheem's gang as it tries to identify and capture other associates.
