Bengaluru City, 20 Days, Two Engineers: Atul and Pramod Share the Same Pain, End It the Same Way- Suicide

Two suicide cases of software engineers, Atul Subhash and Pramod, took the lives of two men in just 20 days. Both of them were reportedly frustrated by marital disputes and familial conflicts, and thus ended their lives in tragic circumstances.

Atul Subhash Case

Atul Subhash, on December 9, hanged himself in his flat in Bengaluru, leaving behind a 24-page suicide note and a video. In his note, Atul accused his wife, Nikita, and her family of forcing him to take this extreme step. He cited false legal cases and being denied access to his son as reasons for his distress. After his death, his wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law were arrested and are still in judicial custody as the case continues through different courts.

Pramod's Case

On December 29, Pramod left his home without taking his phone and was never seen again. A frantic search led to the discovery of his body in the Hemavati River. It is found that Pramod was working at a luxury car company in Bengaluru and had constant arguments with his wife and was in constant conflict with his siblings. Unable to bear all this, he allegedly jumped into the river to end his life. The finding of his cycle and passbook from the bank helped reveal who the dead was.

Families Disunited

In both instances, marital problem played important role. Atul accusations had harassment by wife and parents-in-laws while Pramod was grieving due to marital and sibling feud. Pramod's death triggered a battle between his and his wife's families, and police had to interfere to control it.

A Reflection of Emotional Battles

These two incidents highlight the psychological and emotional costs of personal conflicts and the grave consequences that may arise. Both Atul and Pramod's stories are a reminder of how vital it is to address mental health and familial pressures.
