Bhagalpur Tragedy: Gas Cylinder Explosion Kills Father and Son; Shocking CCTV Footage Exposes Chain of Events
BHAGALPUR, BIHAR: On Monday morning, a gas cylinder explosion at a restaurant near Nagar Mal Mall in Bhagalpur killed a father and son. The shocking incident has put the spotlight on a chain of events triggered by a short circuit that resulted in this utterly devastating blast.
The explosion followed a fire caused by an electrical short circuit. From the CCTV footage, it is seen that after noticing the fire, the father and son hastened to the restaurant. Explosions took place just after the father and son reached there. The domestic gas cylinder exploded severely injuring them. Both were taken to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) from where the son died on the spot, and the father lost his life while undergoing treatment.
Event Chain The CCTV footages have vivid images of an early short circuit that lead to a small fire. The father and son, unaware of the danger about to unfold, attempted to quell it when the gas cylinder exploded. Witnesses claimed to hear the enormous explosion that shook the surroundings as the restaurant and most of its environs were left badly destroyed.
