Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday was sworn in as Punjab’s new chief minister. The swearing in ceremony took place at Khatkar Kalan, Bhagat Singh’s ancestral village.
The Aam Aadmi Party- led exclusive event was attended by Arvind Kejriwal, along with all its Punjab MLAs.
However, the outgoing CM Charanjit Singh Channi was not invited to the oath-taking ceremony.
AAP swept Punjab assembly elections by winning 92 seats in the 117-member assembly. This marks the biggest victory in Punjab to date.
The new Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann began his address by highlighting the significance of the venue. He also paid tribute to the martyrs. Mann reiterated that Punjab government will work all.
The current Punjab CM began his journey as a stand up comic and a two-time Lok Sabha MP.
Today he took oath as Punjab’s CM after massive win in the recently-concluded state polls.
