A tragic road accident occurred on Monday evening near Govindpur in the Rautara police station area of Katihar district. Three youths riding a single bike died on the spot after colliding with a tractor amid dense fog.

Details of the Incident

The victims, aged between 18 and 20, were traveling from Katihar to Purnia when they failed to spot the oncoming tractor due to low visibility caused by fog. The collision was so severe that all three youths died at the scene. Their bike, registered as BR 11-1803, was completely damaged. Eyewitnesses reported that the bike was speeding, leading to a loss of control and the fatal crash.

Police and Family Notified

Local villagers informed the Rautara police, who arrived at the spot, took possession of the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem to Katihar Sadar Hospital. Police used the bike's registration number to notify the victims' families.

Victims and Driver Status

The deceased were identified as residents of Jok, under Purnia Sadar police station. They include Mohammad Mahadur, son of Mohammad Zakir, and two brothers, Dilwar and Asfir, sons of Mohammad Sultan. The trio was returning home after visiting their sister in Mahmood Chowk, Dilkash Nagar.
