BJP Announces Another Padayatra Against State Government Corruption

New Delhi/Bengaluru, Sept. 4 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for yet another padayatra (march) in its ongoing battle against alleged corruption within the state government. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi announced that this new march will be led by all top BJP leaders, underscoring the party's unified stance against the state government's actions.

Joshi emphasized that the BJP's fight against corruption is progressing in the right direction and assured that there are no internal dissentions within the party. "There is no need to distinguish between the first and second padayatras; the party is united in intensifying the struggle," Joshi said.

The upcoming padayatra will see the participation of BJP's national president, home minister, and other senior leaders. Joshi indicated that this march will be conducted under the leadership of all state BJP leaders.

Joshi also questioned the Congress party's inaction during its tenure. "If former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was involved in wrongdoing, why did Congress not act during its eight years in power? The case against Kumaraswamy dates back to 2005-06, yet Congress remained silent during Siddaramaiah’s tenure from 2013 to 2018. Why was there no action?" Joshi asked.

He further criticized the Congress-led government for its perceived inaction and alleged corruption. "The Congress government, which claims to be farmer-friendly, is actually adopting anti-farmer policies. This government should immediately withdraw its price hike orders and ensure fair prices for milk producers," Joshi demanded.

Joshi also pointed out that allegations against Narayanaswamy and Murgesh Nirani are from 2004 and 2008, respectively, questioning why the Congress is bringing these issues to light now. He suggested that this could be a strategy of blackmail.

The minister urged the Siddaramaiah government to address leakage issues at milk unions and processing units to prevent further losses. He accused the Congress administration of neglecting the needs of farmers and the dairy industry, which he claimed has resulted in reduced procurement prices for milk.

The BJP's new padayatra aims to highlight these issues and press the state government for accountability and reform.
