BJP Unveils Delhi 2025 Manifesto: Monthly ₹2,500 for Women, Subsidized LPG, Extra Cylinders on Festivals

In its Delhi 2025 manifesto, the BJP pledged comprehensive relief measures to address the needs of women, families, and senior citizens. JP Nadda highlighted a Women’s Prosperity Scheme offering ₹2,500 monthly, alongside a ₹500 per-cylinder subsidy and extra LPG cylinders during major festivals.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections on Friday, January 17, 2025. Its President JP Nadda has announced welfare schemes focusing entirely on financial support provided to women, affordable cooking gas, as well as additional incentives during festivities.

Women's Prosperity Scheme

A monthly allowance of ₹2,500 for women in Delhi to be sanctioned by the BJP government in its very first Cabinet if the party manages to win the elections.

LPG cylinder subsidy of ₹500

One free cylinder each at Holi and Diwali to reduce pressure on household pockets during festivals.

Maternity Security Scheme

21,000 Rupees in a one-time payment

JP Nadda said that the party had sought wide-ranging public engagement before finalizing the manifesto:

Over 1.8 lakh suggestions were received from various segments of society.
More than 12,000 people were directly contacted for feedback.
The manifesto will be released in three parts, with the first being unveiled now and the remaining two to follow.

Healthcare Focus: Ayushman Bharat in Delhi

Nadda said the AAP has deprived 51 lakh eligible residents of Delhi from the Ayushman Bharat scheme since 2018.

The BJP has assured to implement Ayushman Bharat in its first Cabinet meeting.
An additional ₹5 lakh health cover from the state government will complement the ₹5 lakh insurance under the central scheme, which will bring the total coverage to ₹10 lakh per family.

Attack on AAP Over Mohalla Clinics

Nadda led a scathing attack on the AAP government on Wednesday and accused it of committing a ₹300 crore scam.
He claimed medicines worth ₹100 crore were ordered through contracts allegedly awarded to a few persons connected with the Chief Minister.
"An inquiry of all such details will be ensured, and then legal action shall be taken as well," said Nadda.

Senior Citizens' Welfare Benefits

The party also promised increase in financial benefit for senior citizens

Monthly pension raised from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 for seniors aged 60 to 70.
Monthly pension increased from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000 for those above 70.

“Modi’s Guarantee”

Nadda underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s track record of fulfilling promises:

Claimed 99.9% of the 500 promises made in 2014 were fulfilled.
95.5% of the pledges from 2019 have reportedly been completed.
Emphasized that BJP-led welfare programs in Delhi will continue unabated, helping lift millions above the poverty line.
